Radiate Youth Ministries
Our vision is to radiate and shine Jesus through all we say and do, through who we are and the way we live. We invite the Holy Spirit to be moving among us and turning up the heat in our lives and we want to live with such a passion for Jesus that we can’t help but give it away!
The children's and youth ministries form a large part of the evangelistic effort of the church with a wide range of activities for all ages right up to young adults in their twenties
On Sunday mornings there are age-related activities for babies, pre-school children, infant, junior and lower secondary school age children and young people. The older, secondary school group meet in 'cell' groups
School Years 7, 8 or 9
BLAZE!
Tuesdays, 7.30-9.00pm
Meeting on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm – 9:00pm in the back Hall of Bushey Baptist Church.
The vision statement for this group is “to equip and empower young people to be radical disciples of Jesus, who dare to believe and expect great things”
This group will have an emphasis of cell groups, run by adults but will also have a wider community input. There will be time in the evening to be together, to take part in team challenges, to chill out together and spend time getting to know each other better. The cell part of the evening will be a chance to really focus on God, in a safe environment. To ask questions and to explore God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit together. School Years 10, 11, 12 and 13
On Sunday evenings, the young people are encouraged to come to the evening service and from there those in school years 10, 11, 12 and 13 are invited to an evening cell group
This group is held in the homes of some of the young people and the youth minister at 8pm and on a Monday evening at 7.30pm(please take note of the Monday time)
The two cells have slightly different emphasis:
On Sunday evening cell is aimed more at those who want to explore their faith and deepen their knowledge
Pulse
Is the name of the Monday cell. It is aimed at those who are just getting to grips with being a Christian, or are just learning about and looking at Christianity as new in their lives
Both these cell groups are currently adult-led, although we will be looking to transition these to peer-led cells in the near future
Socials for these two groups happen within the cells. However we are looking to having more socials together to enhance wider community amongst each other
Radiate Worship
‘Radiate Worship’ is a youth-orientated service. The emphasis is youth, but all are welcome! Radiate services are held on the 3rd (and 5th where there is one) Sunday of each month in the evening. Doors open at 6:00pm
The worship is lively and passionate, the teaching is relevant and applicable and young people and adults are encouraged to deepen their relationships with Jesus
The aim of this meeting is to be a community that is rooted in God as we are taught more about Him.
We aim to make ‘Radiate’ a consistent and safe environment for young people to come and explore who Jesus is and to step out for Him |
